Your shoulder.

Mummy, I need your shoulder, I feel so tired now.

Daddy, I need your shoulder, my tummy is hurting now.

Mummy, I need your shoulder, I can’t reach up on the shelf.

Daddy, I need your shoulder, I’ve fallen over, hurt myself.

It’s hard to tell you exactly how I feel, but I do hope you see.

When I have your shoulder Daddy, a wave of relief comes over me.

I know at times I’ve been cheeky and you don’t seem too pleased.

But when I have your shoulder Mummy, all my worries are eased.

One day I won’t need it so often, one day when I’m older.

But for now, Mummy Daddy, all I need is your shoulder.
